Regular professional vent cleaning of the duct leading from the dryer to the outside of your home is necessary both for the performance of your dryer and your peace of mind.
Short ducts venting directly from the dryer to the exterior of the home can normally be easily accessed and cleaned by the homeowner, however, the further the dryer is from the exterior vent, the more difficult and inconvenient this can become.
Using high pressure air tools, we pull built-up lint from your dryer vent, removing any blockages as well as clearing the build up on the sides of the duct.

If your clothes are taking longer than usual to dry and there is excessive lint present in your dryer, it might be time to get your dryer vent cleaned. Other signs that your dryer vent needs to be cleaned include:
1. A burning smell is present when the dryer is running.
2. The dryer is hot on the outside of the machine when running.

Since your dryer vent is attached to your dryer, wherever you do laundry is where your dryer vent starts! Your dryer vent could be in a couple of different places: the basement, main floor or second floor. Depending on where your dryer vent is located will determine how we clean it. Dryer vent cleaning may be done from the inside of the home (if the external vent is not accessible), or the outside of the home (if the external vent is accessible).
The method for cleaning and time to clean is substantially different. Internal access takes more time because the dryer often must be moved in order to access the vent, which must be done by the homeowner with great care. Our technicians do not move the dryer for internal cleaning, this is the responsibility of the homeowner. Additionally, the large vacuum hose must be brought up to the laundry room. The price for internal dryer vent cleaning does reflect these extra steps.
We will be able to clean your dryer vent externally. No need to move your dryer!

Since the external vent will be out of our reach, we will clean your dryer vent from the inside. We must be able to access the dryer vent with room to work, which usually means that the dryer must be moved away from the wall. Please move your dryer at least 3 feet away from the wall.
