Air Conditioning Coil Cleaning

Keeping things clean and cool.

How do you clean the air conditioning coil?

Your air conditioning system has two parts – an external cooling unit and an internal evaporator coil. We clean the internal portion. The air conditioning evaporator coils that are right above the furnace in the main warm air plenum. We must clean the air conditioning coils to ensure that the the entire system is clean. If we don’t clean the coils, the dust and debris would blow right back in the ductwork. Additionally, clogged fins can lead to poor air flow (and therefore poor cooling performance), the accumulation of ice, and even damage to the coils.

We do not clean the air conditioning unit outside the home because it is not a part of the duct system. Many manufacturers recommend simply rinsing the external unit with a hose, and using a cover to prevent soiling during the seasons it is not in use.

Where is my AC coil?

Your AC coil is located in the ductrwork above your furnace. Depending on the installer and whether it was put in with a new furnace, or added afterwards, there may be a built in access panel, or we may need to create one.

Can I get my air conditioning coils cleaned without a furnace & duct cleaning?

The short answer: no.

The long answer: We always guarantee our work. Since the entire HVAC system is connected, we have to clean every part of the system including all vents, furnaces, HRV’s, and yes – the air conditioning coils. A complete cleaning prevents dust and debris from returning to the cleaned parts of the system and will prevent frequent visits from us (even though we’d love to see you)!

Alberta Furnace Cleaning Reviews

Dealing with Alberta Furnace Cleaning was very professional , easy and educational. Everything from appt setup to cleaning up after themselves was great. They communicated well with scheduling , were efficient with putting tarp covering door that needed to be propped open in cold for hoses. Two friendly gentlemen had the tools for difficult screws and told us differences pros and cons between permanent filters and disposable ones. We are repeat customers because they know their stuff and are fabulous! Keep up the great work!

I can't say enough about the service I received from Alberta Furnace Cleaning. They came today to clean my furnace vents and my in-house VAC system. My Vents were almost completely clogged with construction materials leftover from when the house was built. We also have two kitties and they contributed to the overall blockage. My furnace is already working at a much more efficient level. Alfredo and Joseph were knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. They left my house and furnace room immaculate before they left. Thank you for the great service!

Very pleased with using this company to have our furnace, duct, dryer vent and central vacuum lines cleaned. I didn’t even know they would offer a central vac line cleaning. We just bought a new house (9 years old, new for us) and we wanted to start fresh with everything cleaned. Our Furnace Tune Up company (Rob’s Albertan Service Experts) recommended we use Alberta Furnace Cleaning as they had a new partnership with them. I booked and was very happy with their service and work. Will use them again in the future.
